This contributes to large energy cost savings over the life of the building. By using the QuadCore, we are able to achieve higher energy efficiency and all kinds of environmental ratings at an elevated level – LEED, BREAM, etc.
It is also worth mentioning that fire safety is also an advantage of this technology. It has been classified with the parameter B-s1, d0, which means that Kingspan boards with QuadCore do an excellent job in fire protection. In these panels, fire does not spread and there is a trace emission of smoke. Kingspan boards have also been rigorously tested by FM Global, which grants certification and approvals at high risks, earning FM approval for building coverings under certain conditions.
